Egg and Cheese Sandwich Recipe for Weight Loss
I tried this recipe for three months in a row. It’s very tasty and helps reduce my urge to snack while controlling my overall calorie intake. It also helps increase my metabolism, allowing me to burn more calories. Additionally, I noticed it stabilizes my blood sugar level. I will share my own tried-and-true recipe for egg and cheese sandwiches.
Ingredients:
- 2 slices whole-grain or whole-wheat bread (High Fiber & Low Calories)
- 1 egg
- 1 slice low-fat cheese (cottage, Parmesan, or goat cheese)
- A handful of spinach (Fiber and Vitamins)
- 1 tomato, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 or 2 teaspoons olive oil
Additional Ingredients:
- 2 slices avocado
- Sliced mushrooms
Instructions:
Prepare the Egg
In a non-stick pan, spray some olive oil and cook the egg (fried or scrambled) with salt and pepper.
Warm up the Bread
Toast the whole-grain or whole-wheat bread lightly until it’s golden and crisp. If you prefer not to toast it, that’s fine too.
Assemble
Place the spinach on one slice of bread, add the egg, cover with cheese, and top with the other slice of bread.
Melth the Cheese
Place the whole sandwich back in the pan on low heat until the cheese melts. Enjoy you healthy breakfast!
